39. Life Catalysts - Creator's Absorption Technique

Hi, I am Jonny John Liu.
Today I want to teach you a technique.
It's called the Creator's Absorption technique.
Let us begin with a quick recap of how suffering is created before we get into the technique.
If you already have a good idea of what Negative Ideas are, you can then skip this section.

So, to transform our suffering states of mind, we have to transform the Negative Ideas into the Potentiating Ideas.
I.e. from "It's not ok..." to "it is ok..."
The journey towards Potentiating Ideas will be thus a spiritual journey of Self-Acceptance.
And there are many ways in which we can develop Self-Acceptance.
Today, I want to introduce the Absorption Technique. which will help you to complete that journey faster!
The Absorption technique is about understanding that whenever you hate a part of someone, it simply represents something which you lack inside.
For instance, if you hate your manager for being too strict and organized, it simply represents that you lack strictness and organization skills because you've always hated doing that.
For instance, if you hate someone for being arrogant, it simply means you lack arrogance because you hate that.
Thus, when we judge someone negatively, it will always represent what we lack inside because if there's something we hate, we would not even care to bother to cultivate it.
Thus, by understanding this, it will help you with clues as to the spiritual lessons that you have to go through to develop Self-Transformation.
And this is to balance and fill what you lack.
This does not necessarily mean that you have to become as strict, as organized, as arrogant as the person you hate.
But rather, the work is done at the state of mind.
I.e. to Accept that it is ok to be strict, it is ok to be organized, it is ok to be arrogant.
It is about learning from the other person and absorbing what they have and what you don't have.
You will be surprised how much this will help you.
The reason why you lack what the other person have is because you have always rejected that part of yourself—that is why you have never developed it!
Realize, all traits of The Self is beneficial when balanced, for instance, organization skills will help you to become less chaotic and being more arrogant will help you with your lack of self-confidence.
For instance, I used to have a friend who was always confident, even when he's wrong. I absolutely hated that part of him. But instead of pushing him away, I asked myself why I could not accept him.
Over time, I began to realize that I am always judging myself even when I was wrong. And through learning how to accept him, I learnt not to judge myself, when I was wrong.
So I have absorbed wisdom, learning from the person that I hated!
That is the essence of the Creator's Absorption technique.
How do we practice it?
So, here are some things you can do when you encounter someone you hate
Ask yourself the question:
"Which part of this person I cannot accept?"
And then if that part is the arrogant part of yourself, then you can tell yourself—
"If that person can be arrogant, then I can be arrogant as well!"
And this will naturally convince the mind to let go of that anger, of that hatred, because it's ok for you to be this way too.
And knowing what you lack will also help to give you a clearer picture of the journey ahead, giving you the directions to transform your mind.
This will help to settle your mind from negativities because your mind will become more easily convinced to accept the Potentiating Ideas!
You can also use the negative absorption technique in your meditation sessions when you encounter wandering thoughts, i.e. about a person who has hurt you, so that you can come out of the negativities, the wandering thoughts quicker.
So use this technique, absorb and learn from others to transform your mind!
Exercise
From now on, use the Creator's Absorption technique in your life.
So, whenever you find yourself disliking someone, out of anger, out of hatred, out of jealousy, out of judgment, simply tell yourself that there is something that you can learn from that person. Because what you hate will always represent a part of yourself that you hate.
So, learn to absorb from the other person to fill that lack.
You can use the following declaration to help you—
"If it is ok for the other person to be like that, it is ok for you to be like this."
This is how you transform the Negative Ideas from within!
This is how you develop Self-Acceptance both ways!
If you were just to try to accept the other person without understanding that you are also accepting yourself, then the mind will refuse Acceptance.
So start applying this technique into your lives!
