"Answers cannot come without the Questions"
This article will look at the topic of questioning in two parts.
The first part will explore the importance of questioning in general.
The second part is about addressing the suffering states of the mind i.e. fears when we experience the desire to question Other Selves.
Questioning In Depth
"Just because the majority thinks a particular way doesn't mean that it is right"
It is often so easy to just eat what other people are eating and do what other people are doing because that is what the majority is doing. But experiences in life will take us to the harsh realization that just because something is done by the majority, it doesn't mean that it is "right."Right in the sense that it is a beneficial thing to do to improve one's mind, one's heart, one's life.
For instance, just because the majority of our work-colleagues are smoking does not make it right. Just because the majority of people are addicted to drinking and coffee does not make it right. Just because the majority of us do not exercise does not make it right and so forth.
The idea of right can also be subjective. That is why it's important to not dwell so much on what other people are doing but rather focus the attention on yourself, to ask your heart what You want to do in life, and focus on what You believe is the right thing to do in life. It is only then that you can really discover your true desires and needs.

Importance Of Addressing Issues To Do With Questioning
When we forget to take the responsibility to do the questinoing ourselves "What is my perspective?" we can easily lose ourselves and end up following other people's footsteps. And the destination that we can end up heading towards may not be a healthy, happy, beneficial one.
Are you following your own path or are you following others?
To know what we really want and what is good for our mind and soul begins with developing the awareness of the Inner World, i.e. becoming aware of what is happening in our mind and emotions in every moment. It is then we can become sensitive and know what we really feel/think about a particular topic, situation, idea and so forth.
When we lack this awareness we can end up with “no opinions.” But realize that this state is often experienced when we simply lack the sensitivity / awareness to hear our deeper thoughts - When we lack Self-Knowing. It is thus through the constant questioning about who we are, what we really want, experiencing new things and so forth that we can develop this mental muscle of awareness. It is then we can truly find ourselves, and it is then we can find true happiness.
Questioning is also important in the sense that it helps to bring out into light the Inner Sufferings that needs to be addressed from within. There may also be alot of inner-resistances that are stopping us from questioning. It maybe that we have a lack of confidence in that we can find answers for ourselves. It may be the doubt we carry in ourselves to succeed if we were to walk our own individualistic path away from the path of the majority.

One of the reasons as to why we don't dare to question is because of a lack of Self-Trust. When we lack Self-Trust, we can end up trusting too easily in other people and let other people decide our future rather than creating our own.
So the very first step to addressing the issues of questioning requires the development of self-awareness and addressing any Self-Doubts that one may have.

The journey of learning to question is about balancing the direction of trust. When we trust too much in others, then we can forget to trust ourselves too. When we trust ourselves too much, then we can forget to listen to other people's advice and expand our perspective..
So it can be a confusing journey of learning how to balance when we try to view the journey of Self-Transformation from the level of Actions. But if we look at the journey from a Reaction level then it will become clearer. We will realize that the greater work is in the addressing of the fears towards the questioning of others. The greater work is in addressing the fears of following and trusting our beliefs. So to clarify the confusion of the journey, one can simply look within to discover one's fears to do with following one's own beliefs, then the journey will become clearer.
The journey thus progresses as one develops the awareness of one's own inner world and carrying that awareness through each life experience to develop deeper Self-Knowing.
Usually the wisdom of knowing the importance to question can come from experiences where we get into trouble through following constantly someone else's advice. These kind of experiences can help to nudge us to trust ourselves more.
The refusal to question can also happen when one simply lacks the awareness that they actually have the power to do so (See Catalyst Entitlement) and also lack of awareness that people’s answers may not be right (See Catalyst Trust).
Generally one will simply sink into the habit of not questioning if one has a lack of Self-Trust to find their own answers. And the Seed Cause of the lack of Self-Trust will always come back to the Negative Ideas we have in the deeper mind.

A Possible Negative Mental Declaration
"It is not ok to doubt"
--->I reject myself and others when I am/they are doubting.
= There will be fear when I appear to doubt because it is not ok.
For the mind which carries the negative declaration, the person will tend to hold great fear in doubting people and will reject oneself when one is in doubt. The fear of doubting others can be there also because one is afraid that doubting the other will hurt the other person's feelings.
The journey of developing Self-Acceptance is about transforming the Negative Idea from "It is not ok to doubt" -> "It is ok to doubt"
The transition towards the positive declaration begins when one realizes that it is ok to doubt, to ask questions when one is in doubt. The wisdom for transitioning is the realization that clarity can only come when one asks the right question and if the question is not asked then the confusion will always be there.
For the mind which carries the positive declaration, one will be able to have great clarity in knowing when one is unclear about something and have the ability to ask questions to clarify without fear.
The journey is balanced through moving also towards the opposite declaration - "It is ok to not doubt"
Develop Experienced Knowledge
Whenever you do not know something simply ask questions.
Whenever you do not know something to a question simply reply that you do not know.
When you feel the need to disagree with someone's opinions then you can express yourself.
Simply observe the Inner World when you do this to develop the Knowing of any negativities that may surface.

As you meditate and go through the body journey, When you encounter areas where there are physical sensations, or areas where there are no physical sensations, simply accept them as it is rather than imagine what they are/should be.
Doing this will help to create a good habit of questioning in life when one does not know the answers rather than filling in the blanks with one's own imagination.
